Carolyn Maloney

Carolyn Bosher Maloney (née Carolyn Jane Bosher, February 19, 1946) is an American politician. She was the U.S. Representative from 1993 to 2023. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

On October 17, 2019, Maloney was chosen by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to become acting chair of the House Oversight Committee after the death of Elijah Cummings,[1][2] and won the election to become chair on November 20.[3]

In August 2022, Maloney lost re-nomination to U.S. Representative Jerry Nadler.
