David Brenner (movie editor)

David Brenner (1962 – February 17, 2022) was an American movie editor.[1] He was born in Hollywood, California. Brenner was known for his works with Oliver Stone and Zack Snyder. In 1990, he won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing.

He edited many movies such as Born on the Fourth of July, Independence Day, The Patriot, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and the DC Extended Universe movies Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and its director's cut.

Brenner died on February 17, 2022 in West Hollywood, California at the age of 59.[2]
