Sakib Gore, Born in an agricultural background, had to halt his primary education due to financial constraints in his family. As a result, he embarked on a career as a truck labourer at a young age. Despite these early challenges, Sakib Gore emerged as a prominent figure advocating for improved eye health in rural India. He dedicated his efforts to combatting curable blindness and Refractive Disorder, making substantial strides in this field and leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many through his relentless advocacy initiatives and Free Eye care Camps.[7]

Sakib Gore established the Vision Friend Sakib Gore a self funded organization in 1992 with a profound vision to combat curable blindness and Refractive disorder in rural India. Hailing from an agricultural family background and having experienced the challenges of rural life, Gore was driven by a deep-rooted commitment to alleviate the widespread prevalence of curable blindness Regardless of religion, caste and creed in underserved communities.[3]
