Today's guide is on success and how to achieve it.
Be Laser Focused - This is the most important tip of all. If you spread yourself too thin you won't have time to achieve your goal. Just do one thing very well.
Pick a Goal that Matches Your Own Abilities - You need to pursue something that matches your natural ability. If you think you have no abilities in anything, you are just not searching hard enough. Everyone has some unique talents. Ask others or your parents for advice if needed. What do people often ask you to do for them? That can give you some hints.
If you don't have musical skills, practicing 24/7 probably won't make you a star. Just be realistic in what you pick and when you find something that you can do well, become laser focused on it. If your goal is related to a future job, you need to pick something that can make money too, since we all need to eat. Most goals can lead to a good source of income, but not all of them, or the pay may be too low to be worth doing it.
Work Very Hard - Okay, so you have a goal and it matches your natural skills and can lead to future income. You now need to work hard. You need to put your goal first before doing other things. Successful people are willing to "crawl through glass" to achieve their goals. You will almost certainly encounter huge obstacles, but just keep going. When you are not working on your goals you should be thinking about them. They should even be part of your dreams.
Take Breaks - You need to give your mind time to recover and think creatively. Taking some time off from your goals can actually make you more productive and get you out of ruts where you don't feel like you are improving. It will also keep you from getting burned out and quitting.
Have Fun - If you are not eventually having fun achieving your goal, you need to change directions. The amount of work needed to achieve success is huge, so it will be very difficult to pursue something successfully if you don't enjoy doing it. You will probably quit way before you can reach your goals. However, don't quit too soon, since it can often take a lot of time to really enjoy something once you start getting successful in it.
