Lol girls can choose to ignore those standards- in fact, many are toxic, anyways. Like all of these stupid Insta girls- c'mon, no one's THAT snatched Ofc, I'm not saying it's okay to be overweight... Just, be healthy for YOU, okay?? :)
Makeup?? Don't wear it. Super trendy clothes?? Nah, dawg, where's my jeans, sweatshirt, and sneakers?? Doing your hair every morning to make it all curled?? Just run that bad-boi straightener through real quick (3 minutes, tops) some mornings. Lol, now I'm just ranting.
Okay, here's something: why do I have to wear a bra?? , but honestly, they're uncomfy and I'd much rather go without one. I'm so freaking flat anyways (well, compared to my classmates lol), it barely matters. Okay, like I get it with like, tight, small shirts and see-through ones and that thing, but like, if I'm wearing a sweatshirt, like, no, I don't wanna wear one and get blamed for it. Just saying.
Honestly though, I get it why life can be tougher for some girls. When I was 9 through 13, I was so worried about fitting into these stereotypical girl roles, with all of their trends and apps and clothes. I became really unhealthy to myself, and I would beat myself up and take it out on other people when I just couldn't do it. Not to mention my awkward, puberty body and period -_- Eventually, around the time I turned 14, I just learned to accept the fact that even now that I'm older and could fit these "types," I won't. I learned to love myself, and I'm just rolling through life now. Also, my body figured itself out now XD And I got used to my period, and it's not even a big deal anymore (UNLESS I'm lifeguarding that week- then it is XD). Anyways, that's why I'm kinda over "life is tough for me 'cause I'm a girl" thing.
So, maybe it's just me and I grew out of this whole thing, but I think that other girls will realize it too, after a while. Or maybe not XD
Honestly, I feel awful for guys. Their "stuff" doesn't happen until they're a little older, when people are more aware and more conscious XD They gotta go through that with everyone, and they don't get the chance some girls do when they're younger and can figure things out by the time they're in late middle school/ high school.
Also, people are people, regardless of gender. We all have feeling and emotions. I hate it when people set really toxic standards for guys. Like, no, crying is good!! My mum used to say that "tears are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength."
Anyways, I guess no one really has it tougher. It's all in the mindset in each person, maybe.
Huh. Just spit balling.
