I sighed. This Summer was going horribly. I had been dealing with a horrible depression due to my parent’s divorce. Non of my friends knew, of course. I was fine with that. My brother, Kevin , was moving in with our dad. My mother seemed to hide her feelings. It made no sense. My parents were perfectly fine before-suddenly divorce papers? What had even happened. I had searched and searched online but all I’d gotten was “it’s not your fault”’s. i didn’t want to hear “It’s going to be OK” I wanted to know why.
Kevin was moving to Germany with dad-all the way to Germany. My mother was extremely upset about this. My parents had fought every night over this. She had called Kevin “her” son. I could tell Kevin was bothered by this. He hadn’t slept all night last week. He claimed that they probably wouldn’t still be fighting and they’d be divorced and he would be on the next flight to Germany. Which made no sense… He wanted to leave? Mother said I’d have to fly EVERY SUMMER to see him- and Kevin. Kevin wasn’t mad at me, or was he? He had been really distant lately.
