Carrie: (hair goes out behind; thinks about upcoming contest; foot slips) Dang iit (feels it and runs home clutching foot)
Scene 2
Carrie: (shoves into spotless house)
Mother: (looks at Carrie from the door) What's wrong Carrie?
Carrie: I broke my foot. What about you? (grunts)
Mother: (looks outside fearfully) The terrorists. Get to the bomb shelter!
(Carrie and Mother race outside, Carrie slips on black pavement; Bombs are going off loud in the background)
Carrie: (grabs at pole) Its OK, I can get up (stands up and Mother helps her to the bomb shelter)
