How To Make A Galaxy In A Jar
A Galaxy in a Jar is super cute decor item for your room, as well as a sweet gift. And guess what? It's super easy and inexpensive to make!
You will need...
Paint (at least 2-4 colors. I used white, purple, blue, & pink.)
A mason jar
Cotton balls or nail polish remover pads
A wood stick (like a chopstick or skewer)
Water
Containers (one for every paint color)
Glitter (optional)
1: Fill your containers with about an inch or so of water and put in paint. One paint color per container.
2: Mix the paint and the water using the wood stick.. If you want your color to be brighter, just add more paint.
3: Take a few of your cotton balls or remover pads and tug at them slightly so they become wider and more spread out.
4: Cover the bottom of the mason jar with the materials. You can wipe off your wood stick & use it to press the materials down if you're having trouble. If you're using glitter, add it now.
5: Choose a paint color and cover the cotton balls & glitter.
6: Repeat 3-5 until you're out of paint colors. Keep on covering up each layer with cotton balls.
7: Display or gift!
OPTIONAL: Add a tag with a message such as "Stars can't shine without darkness" to make your galaxy more you.
I hope you enjoyed making this fun D.I.Y.!
