The Diamond Music Box
It was exactly midnight, and the crescent moon was high in the sky, shining dull light onto all things below it. An owl was in a tree, hooting his song when then, Bert the Cat Burglar came out of the blue. He tiptoed to the small house in front of him, not knowing it belonged to a lawyer. He opened the redwood door and tiptoed into the bedroom. He made his signal to tell his cat burglar buddies it was safe. So they too came out of the blue, following their master's every move, not waking the woman in the green bed. "Now we came here tonight to steal that golden music box adorned with diamonds. Only one of us will actually steal it. Who will that be?", said Bert the Cat Burglar.
The night washed away, revealing a golden sun kissing the earth with warm, bright light. A mother robin woke up and made a twitter. But then after, there was the loud, obnoxious ringing of an alarm clock. Dectective Fernando Molass banged on the clock to make it stop that horrible sound. Then, he rose from his yellow bed, revealing his dark blue pajamas. He yawned and walked to the kitchen. It was a small, cozy kitchen with a black-and-white checked pattern on the wall and floor. He sat in his birch wood chair and poured himself some coffee. He drank it, when, soon enough, his orange phone rang. "Hello, this is Dectective Fernando Molass. What can I help you with?", said Detective Fernando Molass. "I am Mrs. Trula. Your best friend's lawyer. Last night I heard many quiet footsteps but when I woke up in the morning, my diamond music box was gone!", said Mrs. Trula. Many quiet footsteps were the trademark of Bert and Brothers, a team of very sneaky cat burglars. Bert was the leader. But the funny thing was, Bert only picked one out of his five brothers to do the actual stealing. "Bert and Brothers has robbed your house.", said Detective Fernando Molass. "Who?", said Mrs. Trula. "A very sneaky team of cat burglars lead by a man named Bert. But Bert chooses only one of them to do the actual stealing.", said Detective Fernando Molass. "Which cat burglar stole my music box?", said Mrs. Trula. "I do not know. I will investigate my house as soon as I get there. Have a nice morning.", said Detective Fernando Molass.
He did not have the time to continue to sip his coffee. So, he got dressed into his jet black trenchcoat, his matching pants and shoes, his gray fedora, and his yellow tie. He went outside and started his red truck. He drove to Mrs. Trula' house. "Greetings. I am here to start the investigation.", said Detective Fernando Molass. He searched the whole house until he found the trademark brown cap of Samuel, Bert the Cat Burglar's third brother. He called Samuel arrested him for theivery. "Show me the music box.", said Detective Fernando Molass. Samuel handed over the music box and was sent to jail in handcuffs and police cars.
