Prologue
I have been writing stories since I was eight. But never on Kidzsearch. The first time I posted a story on Kidzsearch was for a writing contest. But now I will make the epic fantasy Kidzsearch series everybody will be talking about: Wolves of Magic.
Chapter One
The New Chief of The Light Wolf Pack
In a flash of orange, the sun rose among the pine trees. This was the signal that it was time for the LightHowl family to wake up. The LightHowl family was the founder of the Light Wolf Pack and also the LightHowl Dynasty. The father of the LightWolf family (Chief Flicker) woke up first. Then the mother (Chiefess Shimmer) woke up next. Then the son (Prince Spark) woke up. Every Light Wolf has golden fur and the ability to glow in the dark, making it easy for them to spot their fellow packsmen. Prince Spark is sixteen in wolf years, which means it is time for him to become chief. "Son, I am getting old. You must become chief for me.", said Chief Flicker. "What about mother?", said Prince Spark. "She is also retiring.," said Chief Flicker. "Am I old enough to become chief?", said Prince Spark. "Yes. We shall start the coronation at two o'clock"., said Chief Flicker.
Prince Spark has had a full education on how to rule a pack. So it was strange why he seemed nervous to become Chief of The Light Wolf Pack. The Chief lead hunts, went first in everything, got to marry any female wolf bearing udders, and the headdress was not even uncomfortable. Maybe the reason why Spark was nervous to become Chief was because he did not think that he could think of any laws. Or maybe he did not think he was ready to be chief. Yes. Of course. That is it.
At twelve o'clock, the team of hunters from the Light Wolf Pack brought the rest of the pack a delicious feast of moose. After all, they wanted to please the future Chief with his favorite food. But even moose could not make the butterflies in Prince Spark's stomach fly away.
At two o'clock, the coronation began. Prince Spark wore his Light Wolf Prince necklace made of a long blade of tan grass and a canary feather. Chief Flicker's good friend Lightbulb called Prince Spark up to the wooden throne with a canary feather on top. Prince Spark sat on the throne. "Prince Spark, will you treat all packsmen equally?", said Lightbulb. "Yes.", said Prince Spark. "Prince Spark, will you create sensible laws for all packsmen to follow?", said Lightbulb. "Yes.", said Prince Spark. "Prince Spark, will you lead all hunts with wisdom and bravery?", said Lightbulb. "Yes.", said Prince Spark. "Then I declare you as Chief Spark of The Light Wolf Pack.", said Lightbulb. There was applause. Lightbulb put a headdress made from a hollow log, acorn caps, and a canary feather on Chief Spark's head. But then.....
