KidzTalk Rules Reminder

Question

Here is a reminder about some very important rules when using KidzTalk. The vast majority of you are great, but some users may not know the rules.

• Personal information that can identify you is not allowed. This includes your full name, or first name if it is not common, where you live (state/country is okay), pictures, video, or audio of yourself, family, or people you know.
   
•  Everything must be family-friendly. KidzTalk has a very wide range of users, so everything must be appropriate for all grade levels. Adult language or images are not allowed. Excessively graphic/gory drawings or images are not allowed. This also applies to stories. If posting about fandom content that is pg-13+ (but still family-friendly), do not include any links. Even though everything gets fully moderated, it wastes the time of the people that screen them and can result in permanently blocking your account, or IP address for unregistered users.
   
• No dating. We will not tolerate posts or private messages that appear like "online dating" between members and will ban accounts that abuse the rule.
   
• Bullying other users in any form is not allowed and will result in banning your account if we see it.
   
• Do not impersonate other users, such as using their name, or spelling variation. We have seen multiple posts today that claim to be from us. This can result in account blocking.
   
• Please respect copyright rules. Do not copy things from other users or websites without proper permission. This includes copy/pasting blocks of text, or using images you don't own. For example, if an image has the name of a user on it, or a watermark, you should not use it.
   
• You should avoid using AI tools to create serious content or images. In general, they create a poor experience and can often be wrong. However, you can use AI and state that AI was used when generating things just for fun, like memes.

I accidentally impersonated nobi about a month ago....... I didn't do it on purpose. If you go to GravityCentered's first butter dog post and just scroll through the comments you can see something big happened. Gravitycentered was mad at me for a WEEK.

I didn't do it on purpose. Also the post is called: Unleashing the cuteness of butterdog. You know where you can look up categories on the main Kidztalk screen and click on the magnifying glass and search Minecraft and click on the Minecraft dog its that one. Also you could just ask GravityCentered if you'd like to know more. Like I said I didn't do it intentionally to impersonate nobi.

You are fine. You can talk about a bf/gf, but it must be 100% family-friendly and not have any personal information.

We need everyone to respect copyright rules. If you see something with a watermark on it, it is definitely not okay to use.

what if it's from another artist but it isn't watermarked. the old posts Julia stole (which I forgive her) weren't watermarked but were originally YouTube thumbnails.

If something is made to be shared, like YouTube videos that have sharing set, you can use the thumbnail or video. However, pretending that you created it is not right.
