Arnold Peterson was watering his garden when he saw his true love, Patricia Smith, walk by.

Arnold was a genius inventor who had made many previous inventions such as The Mobile Fish Tank and The Starling Trap. But they did not sell very well. In order to truly win his true love's heart, he would have to invent something that would blow the public away.

He went back inside and thought about what his next invention was going to be. Would it be a trap for the trapping of a common pest? Would it be a life saving device? Or would it be an item used to solve a common problem?

Arnold decided it would be an item used to solve a common problem. But what was a common problem? High prices.

So Arnold decided to create The Instant Haggler, a device that turns any high price to a more sensible price.

Arnold got some scrap metal from his garage and also the tools. He screwed the metallic peices together and then went back to the garage to get the materials crucial to creating a microchip.

When he came back, he programmed the minuscule microchip with all the steps needed to correctly round prices down and also some basic commands to follow based on what button is hit on the device.

Then, Arnold's invention was finished. He just needed to take it to professional invention critics. If they prized his invention, it would become a real invention. If they abhorred it, it would not become a real invention.

The only professional invention critics he could find were on the television show Blowfish Tank.

"And we're back with a.....uh....new and unregistered contestant! What's your name?," said Ted Boone, host of Blowfish Tank.

"My name is Arnold Peterson. I have invented many other things, but, they were not as good as this. Are the prices at the stores you shop at too high? Well, I've got the perfect solution. Presenting.........The Instant Haggler! Just enter a price and it will haggle for you!," said Arnold.

"I really like your idea. It helps very much if you are a troubled haggler who shops at expensive stores.  I think you should win.," said Dominic Jackson, one of the judges.

"Your idea will be very helpful in real life.," said Ellie Thompson, also a judge.

"A device that haggles for you! Brilliant! It will solve a common problem!," said Cornelius Harrison, the third and final judge.

"And the winner is.......Arnold Peterson!," said Ted Boone. Arnold got a trophy. He was very proud of himself for doing something so big.
