In the Wild, Rats Are Like, Super Cool
This blog post will be a little shorter than the last. So, let's get started. The normal life span for a wild rat is 6 months to a year. Does (female rats) give birth to at least 13 offspring. Remember to take caution in this blog post, because I am writing ALL about what rats do in the wild.
Rats Know Their Way Around the Place
Exterminators swear that rats are so good at memorizing where places are that even when the walls are torn down, they would follow the SAME route. Mostly, city rats live in alleys or basements while country rats live in fields, barns, and abandoned places in the countryside.
A male rat (or buck) will mate up to 5 times a day with as many does as he can. If you are in New York, you are surrounded by rats mating, eating, or giving birth, because that's mostly what they do. All day. 24/7, 365 days a year.
In crowded places, rats will fight and kill each other.
When scavenging, the young eat at the bottom of the trash, the elders in and at the top of it.
