Chapter 17
"Moony acres," I said slowly, and quiet. The others looked at the mansion, surprised from my recent words, 'cottage'. I smiled back at them, silently waltzing on the soft, long grassy surrounding.
"Were here?" Asked Beatrice, puzzled, playing with her fingers, moving them in all directions while twisting them.
The mansion was huge, gloomy and dark. The children didn't seem all interested, but Knight was rather excited to explore the unknown palace.
"Let's go in," I said, as we walked pass flowers and gardens. Finally, I knocked on the door rather loudly, kicking my hooves on the huge, wooden door.
The door slightly creaked open, but no one was there. I sighed in a confused breath escaping my lungs. "Alright, let's go!" Knight vastly pulled the door open, making a huge creaking noise that lasted seconds.
"What did you do?!" I snapped, "This isn't our home!" "Sorry," Knight continued walking in the castle, to say the least, as the rest of us followed him in the gloomy palace.
It was dusty, and no sign anybody lived there, just pictures of middle aged woman and children gathered for a family painting, and a glass vase that looked like it hadn't been looked at in years.
"Well, seems like no one is h-" I was cut off my a man yelling, "Guests!" I looked over, my heart pumping out of my chest. "Sorry, we didnt mean to intrude," said Knight, looking over to the tall man with huge eyes and silver hair.
"No worries, I haven't had guests in years!" He then welcomed us in with many treats, like cakes and tea. The children seemed amused, but I sensedther was something wrong, too wrong.
