At the end, her helmet recorded her “final” moments before she fell. She then crawled into a ditch and then supposedly “died”. Her helmet recorded to the point when she was dragged out of the ditch by a marine. She was then placed next to her armor, and the marine walked off. Then, another dark blue spartan jumped out of nowhere with a katana.
“Jeez Bill, couldn’t ya tote that bow of yours faster?”
“Luna, it beats the obvious trail marks of the sniper rifle.”
“Yah, but I have standards.” “Not like your standardless take everywhere weapon.”
“Chill Bill, at least I don’t cook over a campfire.”
“Why haven’t you tried, Luna? Scared of fire?”
“Say that again and I’ll kill you.”
“Alright, fine.”
The dark blue Spartan was hiding in a tree and overheard the entire conversation. The Spartan walked back to the site of the earlier battle and traced footprints back to the egg. Using a data chip, the Spartan connected it with the chip from Nightingale’s helmet, enabling the dark blue Spartan to see what happened. Suddenly, her motion tracker lit up as several enemies moved towards her. She withdrew her kartana and turned her active Camo on. Several elites were on patrol, and when they went just a bit past the Spartan’s position… the Spartan hit another switch on the katana’s hilt, extending the blade, but silently. The Spartan hit a second switch, and the Katana started glowing an electric blue. She ran up behind the first Elite and cut into quarters, coming through the gibbed remains and halving the next Elite. The now bloodstained weapon chirped twice and the energy counter showed 10%. The next Elites were skewered and changed to kebabs. 5%. The last Elite was beheaded. 2%. 0. The Spartan clicked the extender switch, retracting the blade. She then pressed the small eject button on the bottom of the hilt. A small hatch hissed and opened, and out dropped the energy cartridge. She placed it in the charger in her thigh armor and took out a new cartridge. Then, sheathing the sword, kept walking to Blood Gulch.
Nightingale’s bleeding hands wiped away the blood on her face. She then looked up around her, and the now smoldering remains of Warthogs and the corpses of friend and enemy alike stunned her. She then found her damaged armor, and slipped it back into place. Her helmet’s VISR system was severely damaged, and the video chip was missing somehow. Her armor was always strange and foreign, even to Nightingale, even to the scientists. Her armor was a hand-me-down from another Spartan who “died of natural causes.” The armor was very last generation, the video slot always malfunctioned, VISR systems always off. The armor was chipped in places that had been recently glossed over with matte black paint, and now it wasn’t just chipped pieces, chunks of armor was missing. The energy shield generator was thrown yards away from Nightingale’s armor. When Nightingale picked it up, it crumbled and fell to the ground. She then observed the wrecks of the corpses and vehicles, and managed to find some scrap metal usable to repair her armor.
The dark blue Spartan had somehow found the teleporter entrance to the maintenance accesways of Blood Gulch. She was sent to find out what had happened to the Red and Blue teams of Blood Gulch. After walking into the accessways, she walked out of the maintenance shed to a very quiet battlefield. But the moment she stepped over the Border of No Return, a Sniper shot narrowly missed her and a Warthog with illegal prototype weapons on it rushed past, firing several shots. The Spartan then pulled out her only other sidearm. A Socom pistol. She then shot the wheels of the warthog, which surprising did nothing, and a rocket suddenly lifted her up and threw her into the sand of the Gulch. The Warthog made another pass and dropped an incendiary bottle. The bottle burst and exploded into flames, which then started to roast her armor. She ran out towards a base, but it was the red base, and the Spartan had blue armor, so naturally she was getting shot at by a pink armored Spartan. She managed to run towards the base without harm, but the Pink Spartan was a decoy. The Warthog started driving up behind her and rammed her into the sky, which then several munitions rounds blasted her even further from the base. She then saw the warthog make another pass, and just as though the Warthog was about to run her over, the Spartan activated her armor lock, and managed to blow the warthog into the base. The warthog indeed was lost, but what about the weapons? Well, the Spartans onboard had hopped off the vehicle before it crashesd.
