Jhonns Hometown
63 finished telling the rest of his story to the Soldier. The Soldier revealed his name as “Jhonn.” But some time later, a massive ship was on approach, hundreds upon hundreds of Drop Troopers landed. A few more managed to exit the massive ship that was on a collision course. A few other pods were damaged and yeeted across an open field. Jhonn turned around and saw a battle lance of angry wort worts, also known as Sangheili. There was a strong leather smell being emitted from the angry bois. The rest of the ODST’s came hustling up to the Rookie, to which the rookie said that the highest ranking person here was Jhonn despite not being enlisted. Several Pelican’s went overhead and deployed Scorpions along with some Warthogs and some more Marines. Several units of Hornets flew overhead to perform aerial reconnaissance, but immediately one was shot down, a Covenant Phantom dropship flew overhead and deployed lots of grunts, a few Elites, and a Wraith. A single Elite hopped on the Wraith and shot a burning blue ball of plasma at a Pelican dropship still deploying Marines. Somehow, the ship survived, but the pilot unfortunately died and his dead body affected the flight of the Pelican. It shot upward and the Marines tried desperately to jump off the Pelican, but a second Wraith shot did the trick and ended the wretched survivor’s misery. The Pelican drifted away, and suddenly huge holes in the sky opened up, energy crackled, and Covenant Battle Cruisers and UNSC ships began Combat. The rookie told Jhonn that there was no more time to waste, so Jhonn ordered the units to charge the Covenant. Most of Earth had been destroyed already, but if the Covenant were here to destroy Jhonn’s hometown, the Covenant would have to pry it from the UNSC’s now cold, dead, hands. Unfortunately, the UNSC had glued what was left of Earth to their cold, dead hands, so the Covenant were eager to fight humanity. Unfortunately again, the fellow comrades of the Wraith’s victims got the last laugh, as the bulbous purple killing device was swarmed with ODST’s and annihilated to a smoking lump of metal. A second portal opened up and a second fleet of Pelicans flew in, followed by a smaller Frigate. Jhonn then ordered all armor units and Warthogs to attack, but unfortunately the Covenant deployed all those grunts and the Wraith as cannon fodder, and by the time the real threat came, it was no use for the ODST’s in close range of the new threat’s plasma cannon. A Scarab. Colonies upon colonies of small worms being held together by a central control colony and a few armor pieces along with a oversized saddle with a plasma cannon. A deep line formed in the ground and a Scopion stuck with treads on either side of the plasma burn fell into the hole and was engulfed in flames. However, it was remotely controlled and thus no human casualties. But it was not the same for the entire Hornet and Pelican force. Most of the ships had crashed into each either in the Phantom choked sky, and while pushing the Covenant Air Force to the point of extinction, wiped out their own force. A damaged Pelican that managed to land remained on the ground, and Jhonn ran to it. “Jhonn, hey.. what… get your butt back here! Don’t do anything stupid!”, yelled 63. “I have your great journey right here, you purple bastards.” Those would be Jhonn’s last words.
