The Sacrifice, part 2
63 was tired of this war. He too had lost his friends in that dreaded landing, but he didn’t have a family to start with. He was adopted, and was bullied for most of his life. He lost his adoptive family to the chain of kid presidents, and he just saw one of his best mates die. But suddenly, 63 was interrupted with a “Sir, more Covenant ships exiting Slipspace!” 63 turned around and ordered the Marine to evacuate all personnel off Earth. In a split second, any surviving Marines boarded a nearby frigate. The frigate took to the skies and disappeared. 63 then hopped into a da,bed but still functioning Warthog, and drove towards the location of the ship that had crashed earlier. The Covenant were massed around the area, and were preparing to board the ship in search of survivors, but 63 diverted their attention by running over a questionable amount of the aliens. 63 then drove up near a ramp, and he then moved the Warthog to a position where the Covenant would see, and put some plastic explosive in the glove box, and 63 then ran back on board the ship, and raised the ramp. Sounds of exploding flesh and screams were heard as the Warthog denotated. 63 then ran towards the engine room, and he threw a grenade into the slipspace engine. He ran towards a weapons locker and pulled out a rocket launcher and a shotgun. The Covenant sawed through the metal ramp, and 63 held the vermin off. The Slipspace engine finally overheated, and a countdown sequence was broadcasted through the klaxons.
