Charli and Mara are walking behind us. Niles is getting reservations. I walk holding Maya's hand. She breaks the awkward silents. "Steve, are together?" I kiss her cheek. "Sure thing nugget head." "Shut up" "nugget" "Steve, I'm not a nugget head." "Right, your my little nugget." "Why do you make everything cute?" "Cause I can nugget." I kiss her. "Infinity" "Infinity." Suddenly I feel someone tap my shoulder. I turn and see my... Old... Girlfriend. Kate. Kate. Kate, the one who saved you. I'm dumbfounded by seeing her. I lived in France for only a year with my brother, Daniel. "Hey.. Steve." Maya turns around. It's awkward. Me walking around, my arm aroind another girl, and seeing my ex. Wow. "Hi Kate." Maya stares at me for a second. "How's Daniel?" "He passed away. Cancer. It got bad." Kate hugs me. Then she stares at me and says "Is this your sister?" Maya looks at me. She is mad. "No. Um. She's my um... Partner in crime... Umm..." I just totally friend-zoned Maya. Kate smiles and says "Steve, do you want to go out sometimes? 7 at the Effiel tower?" Maya frowns at me and kicks me in the shin. "Actually no. He would not." Kate smirks "Oh really, you see, I'm Steve's ex girlfriend. Well not really he never broke up with me. So technically we're still together." Maya looks at me and says "Why." She takes a deep breath and says " didn't you tell me?" She runs away crying. "Kate. STOP! ALL YOUVE DONE IS HURT THE PEOPLE I LOVE!" I storm away. "MAYA!" Mara took Charli to the bathroom. I find an ally and kick a trash can. Behind it I see a dog. OH MY GOSH. I can't believe it. It's fernanada. I scoop her up. There's an odd sound coming from behind the other trash can. I walk over and see Maya. Her makeup is streaming down her face. "I look like an ugly rat. I am an ugly rat." I stare at her "Your not ugly. I think your beautiful. I think your amazing. I think your- I don't know. There is no word to describe how amazing, beautiful, and just pure great."
