Hey guys! So.... I have been noticing some changes with my body... Like, I'm developing breasts and my armpits get sweaty every time I exersize. (I'm a fitness nut.) And I'm scared about getting my P. There's already some girls at school who got theirs, including my bff s that I always hang out with. There always talking about their P, what types of pads they use, etc. It makes me feel really left out.

That sounds like me.

I remember when that all started for me. It was weird at first but i got used to it. Here's some advice.

  1. Breasts - you may need a crop top or training bra so you dont get really uncomforatable
  2. Sweat - use a roll on antiperspirant
  3. Period - dont worry. Its not that bad. For me i bleed more than average and i got my first earlier than a lot of girls but its still not that bad. You probably won't get cramps but you might. If you do get bad cramps a heat pack/ wheat bag can help. You can carry around a small pencil case with the following things
  • A few pads
  • A snap lock bag (incase you have a bloody pair of undies)
  • Some baby wipes ( optional)
  • Spare undies

For the sweat, try some deodorant/antiperspirant, works wonders *slight sarcasm*.

For periods, just be glad you do not have them yet and when you do, hope that you don't get cramps. If you do, keep an ibuprofen or something with you. Try keeping a small kit for that with pads (or tampons, whatever you end up using), ibuprofen, change of underwear, with you just in case (better safe than sorry in that situation).

Well, first of all yeah, puberty can be uncomfortable. If it bugs you when you sweat, try an antiperspirant as well as a deodorant, it keeps away the sweat instead of just keeping away the smell. Try to find one without aluminum, I’ve heard that can cause cancer later in life. As for periods, don’t sweat it! No pun intended lol just don’t worry! Keep a little kit with you with a pad and a change of underwear, and you’ll be fine! Normally the first one is very light and you probably won’t even feel it. As for feeling left out, it happens when it happens! maybe try listening more to their conversations so that when it does happen you’ve got useful info ;) A quick period tip- I always wear pants with pockets or a hoodie on period days, that way I don’t feel weird trying to hide a pad on the way to the restroom.
