So, I've had several coincidences online that I wanted to talk about.

1. I was on this like TikTok for kids, where you can also private message people. I messaged this kid saying this wasn't a dating app (he had posted a vid saying 'whose single' or whatever). We talked for a bit and at some point, he said uhm....sorry it's kinda stressful to talk about this but I think it should be shared. Uhm he asked him if I wanted to see his ...thing. If you don't know what I mean, please leave, this post isn't for you. Anyway, I said no, duh, wth, he stated he was 12, which I highly doubt, and I was, and still am, 11. He said he had posted it on his story or smth, idk by then I was grossed out and disgusted. I obviously blocked him.

2. I was on this site called Amino, just a site with many communities where you can ask questions in chats, it's very helpful in some cases. You can also private chat on there. This guy messaged me, I asked how old he was, he said 17. That's an immediate red flag, I don't recommend messaging anybody who you don't know, and who's more than 4 years older than you. We talked for a bit, and honestly, he was really bad at spelling and grammar, another read flag (might be a robot). At some point, he asked if I wanted to do uh. Hm. Ok. S***ing. Basically inappropriate texting is the best way to describe it without typing the word. I asked him what that meant, although I had an idea about it, I thought it was maybe a spelling error or autocorrect. He told me, and I got mad at him. Blocked him straight after.

3. I was on Snapchat, and had joined a group chat from TikTok (this was on me, ik). Anyway I added this guy from the gc, so we could talk privately. He stated he was 13, but I doubt it, cause when I asked to video chat, he said his parents were getting a divorce and were fighting. Which could've just been an excuse to hide the fact that he wasn't who he said he was. But ofc, he could've been telling the truth. One time, he sent me a text saying 'I love you' which confused me since we weren't together or whatever. One time, he sends me a pic with a black screen saying, send me n****. I was weirded out but thought nothing of it. At some point, we were a thing ig, since I 'liked him' (no, not really). He sent me the same black screen pic again asking for them a couple days after we got together. I said no. He said it was a joke. But he sent the same thing twice. I don't think it was. Blocked him.

Ik in several of these incidences, it was my fault. Keep in mind that I had stated I was 11. In every single coincidence. But they still did the thing they did. I'M 11, MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!!! Like, they ruined my innocent (not so innocent anymore lol) mind. They knew I was 11. And did it anyway. Even if I was older, it's still f-ing disgusting. Please be careful loves. Please.

I've been on sites with similar things. Here's my advice to you and anyone else-

Never private message anyone. I mean it, anyone. On sites like this, everything is completely moderated, even PMs, so you don't have this problem. Also, never show your picture, your true full name, the name or image of anyone you know, any location further than your country (state/province/territory is iffy), or any other information that could be used against you. Basically, just be considerate of who you could be talking to. You could be talking to another kid, or you could be talking to some p3d0. The main thing about the internet is anonymity, you don't know who you are talking to or what their intentions are. Be careful. Stay on websites like this, where not only is personal information prohibited, it is blocked for everyone's protection, and you literally can't give out personal information. The most information allowed is gender, age, country, and, if it is a generic first name, that. Don't say anything that can identify you specifically. Be safe peoples.

This is good advice, thank you!

Question: I live in Texas, and it’s a huge state, can I share that on other online sites?

Another question: Can I share my nickname? It’s also my last name... but it’s also a common first name. I don’t have to say it’s my last name.

You cannot share your last name. We also suggest never giving out your real first name for added safety. Giving out where you live is highly discouraged, with some exceptions, like a country and general state. Never give out your birthdate. Never give out any names of people you know.

You need to realize that people can use many separate clues put together to identify you. Think how they are able to solve crimes and find people with different pieces of information.

Fair enough. Thanks for the input KS.

Dang. That's about all that I can think of to say right now. Especially the first and second ones...

To say the least, it wasn't really your fault. I mean, when you were talking to them, how were you supposed to know that they were weird and (sort of creepy) like that?

But I at least understand the age thing. People like that are going to undoubtedly take advantage of an eleven year old girl, even on the internet. This is partly because they know ('know', mind you, more like 'think') that they are easier victims of net-s****** assault (yes, that is a thing). What they don't know, however, is that you aren't the ordinary 11-year-old. You're a kick-a** above-average girl. You were also, in my opinion, very brave and smart for declining to these, and just blocking them.

Anyhow, thank you for sharing your rough experiences to everyone here. There are a lot of people that can benefit from this.

And, also, if you've had all of these negative experiences with random guys, then why aren't you creeped out at all by me? If you are, don't be afraid (Not that I'd expect you to be, though. You'd knock me out with a baseball bat before you were afraid.). You can tell me anything.

But thanks again, for all of it.

This has happened to me a lot as well, and I'm not even actively talking to people on the internet (only close friends whom I trust.) These people message me, I message back (now I never check my messages), then they become inappropriate, and then I block. And for some cases, like this one guy, he made another account to send me lude photos after I blocked him the first time. Bro.. don't be so devoted. I don't even know you. I never responded, I just blocked because I don't want to even talk to these people.

When I was 11, I was only on KT and Quotev. Three years ago, Quotev had so many people roleplaying on there. I would always get roleplay messages. I wasn't interested in it, but sometimes I would say sure as a joke. It was so cringe, and sometimes they tried to lead it into something gross lol. I would be like, "uh yeah gtg bai!" LOL. Now, no one really asks me to roleplay anymore on Quotev. Maybe because I'm barely active - I don't know. I'm glad it's a site mostly filled with cringe, edgy kids though.

So yeah Jelly, I know how you feel. You're very young so maybe you shouldn't try to find new social medias to go on - just stick to one that you trust because it's crazy out there. (AND YES, I AM YOUNG TOO BUT I NOW SEE 11 YEAR OLD'S AS BEBES NOW THAT IM TURNING 14 IN A SPEED OF TIME... IF YOU'RE A TEEN, YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL. 11 IS A WORLD APART.)

I agree with you on the last part, Knight. "You shouldn't try to find new social medias to go on - just stick to one that you trust". Yes.

Yeah, ik. Again, some of these situations were my fault.

Oh wow. Disadvantages of using the internet. Kinda relatable. :(

However, in my case, it didn't involve any real person on the internet. I was accidentally exposed to these gross stuff, while browsing.

If you wanna know about my horrible experience (which destroyed all of my innocence), read this: https://www.kidzsearch.com/questions/43558/my-secret?show=43558#q43558
