Hey KidzSearch! I wanted to tell you that Netflix has PG-13 and NC-17 content and it is on KidzSearch. Yes, there is a setting to make Netflix kid-friendly, but if kids open Netflix they can log in by having the default adult account on, even worse, once my parents set my Netflix account to only movies and shows that are rated G, and I said "Why can't I have PG? I'm 10!" They said it was okay for me to switch to PG, but when I went on to Netflix, on the TV, it said you must use the Netflix website instead of the TV app. So, I did that, on the website I could change, but not the TV. So the thing is, kids can watch rated R movies and TV shows on Netflix and even worse, change their account to PG-13, Rated R, or NC-17.

Netflix has violence, language, and sexual content on PG-13, Rated R., etc. Kids could find this content on Netflix. Please block Netflix.

I agree with Pumpkin, however, I have never watched starwars. It's never interested me enough to go and watch it. If I actually got to pick what to watch, it'd be anime.

No, I don't like that kind of stuff, my parents don't let me watch Star Wars till I'm at least 18. They are really overprotective. Though, I watched the first movie which was PG, it was playing in the background, I wasn't paying attention bc it was so boring, no offense.

Thats because you were not paying attention

I also agree with pumpkin

That is overly strict. It's literally just star wars. As I said, I haven't actually watched it, I've just seen clips here and there. I've honestly seen Social Studies videos that were more graphic.

I only want to block inappropriate content only. Direct tv lets me block certain content! Why can’t netflix and Amazon prime utilize these settings too?

Respectfully, bruh. This could be said about basically any streaming media. Also, PG-13 and R-rated things aren't that bad depending on what they're rated for. Even NC-17/MA follows that same logic.

I know you guys aren't trying to be rude, but you are kind of offending me now. It feels rude.

Aww I’m so sorry

And I do agree that R/NC-17 is bad
by (165k points)
NC-17 and R are two different ratings. NC-17 and MA are basically the same, though R isn't quite as bad. R is in the middle between PG-13 and NC-17

If that is offensive to you, you won't last in the real world...

thnx eloquent.

Luna, I know. I was just trying to stick it together bc I’m lazy on typing.

I said it was kinda offensive. I'm just saying you should keep your thoughts to yourself,  pumpkin. It was just a tiny mistake with me including "PG-13" Ik, PG-13 isn't that bad, I have just grown up in a strict family. Can't anyone be nice here?

by (847k points)
I’ve grown up in a…

VERY UN STRICT FAMILY!, they don’t use parental controls because “you are to mature for it”

Most people get Netflix content from their app or streaming device which has more parental controls, so we don't think it will make much of a difference. We have blocked other large services, like Amazon in the past because of their content.
by
I mean, yeah. There are links to the Netflix website with inappropriate content, but those kids that even go there would just get blocked or something by parental controls. Just don't go to Netflix. That simple. Cause: Netflix. Effect: Parental controls. Education. Easy.
by (847k points)
I have the Netflix app and we have a subscription on TV.

AND I NEVER GET TO HAVE PARENTAL CONTROLS BC I AM MATURE FOR MY AGE
by (847k points)
Which means that I don’t have to use KidzSearch.
by (31.8k points)

I am very mature for my age, not to brag. I have learned very...adult things, and I've lived with it and moved on, but my parents don't know..they think I'm the opposite and just a sweet child who doesn't know anything.

They are VERY overprotective. Too much.
