What To Do When You Are Stung By A Sweat Bee

Question

You can tell if you are stung by a sweat bee if a large, translucent bubble appears on your skin. You can either let the sting heal itself which will take 3 days to 3 weeks, or pop it. If you chose to pop if, DO NOT USE YOUR HANDS. Wipe the sting with a sanitary towels, then apply disinfectant. Then, pop the bubble with a needle soaked in medicinal alcohol. Allow liquid to flow out of the bubble, which will take about five minutes, then wipe the spot once again with a towel. Popping it with a needle does NOT hurt at all, I know from experience. There may be a small mark for about two days, but that's it. Be safe with needles though!

Interesting factoid, there is slight confusion throughout the media over if sweat bees sting or bite, when they indeed sting, similar to the honey bee, which dies after stinging, due to it not being able to pull it's stinger out of the surface in which it landed, therefore leaving it stuck there on your skin; alas the stinger is the base for the nerves and digestive tract, therefore ripping them apart in the process, destroying the bee's central nervous system. (CNS) Whereas, sweat bees die after stinging as well, in a similar fashion.
