I remember when 2021 ended. I was on Mineclub, watching the people chatting about how 2022 started in their timezone. There was also an incredible fireworks display. This year, it’s the same thing, except I’m going on others servers.
Also in 2021, I predicted 2022. I knew I was gonna be in 5th grade, but little did I know the other stuff.
This. Is. 2022.
January 2022
On the 2nd day of January 2022, it happened to be my 1 year anniversary on Mineclub and Mineclub’s 1st birthday. To celebrate, I played a game of Among Us in the lobby (I was imposter). I also assumed that 2022 was gonna be so long, but it was actually pretty short.
My class (4th grade) came back from winter break. It was obviously normal, right?
Well, pretty soon after we came back, we got a new student and someone left. Also, me and a friend had to switch seats, so now I sat behind “test1”. You’ll learn about test1 later.
Also, my reading group read a book about a town where 3rd children were illegal. If 3rd children were illegal today, would you lose anybody important? I would lose my mom.
February 2022
Ah yes, we’ve reached February! 1/6 of the year!
In February, my reading group started another book. In late February, the unimaginable happened. Stick figures took over my work! Yes, stick figures!
I was kidding. I drew the stick figures, but no one noticed me drawing them. The reason I drew them was because everyone else was drawing but I wasn’t. I didn’t want to participate in their art contests, so I drew a comic strip instead.
At the end of February, we got a new student.
March 2022
By March, the whole class knew about the stick figure catastrophe. On March 4th, we were talking about how to get rid of the stick figures. Nothing worked.
But later that day, I told the truth. I announced that I created the stick figures. Everyone was shocked. What are the chances of that? Probably one in a million.
April 2022
We’re already 1/3 of the way. Amazing.
Another student left. Which sucks, because after spring break, we did a bouncy house obstacle challenge. It was crazy fun.
We changed seats again, so now test1 was way far away. We did keep assigned seats at lunch for the whole year though, so I still sat next to test1 at lunch.
Also, I pulled a great prank on my class for April Fool’s Day. I told everyone that Robert Lemming invented a new math way! You can click here for the prank.
Don’t tell anyone about this one… I started liking test1. For real. Over spring break. Spoiler alert, I never confessed.
May 2022
We’re at May! That means Minecraft’s birthday!
My dad: It’s also…
Can y’all guess? First correct answer wins! And no, it’s not Minecraft related. It’s kind of related to birthdays.
May was generally inactive, except for state tests, which also suck.
We did get a new student at the end of May though.
June 2022
June! When school ends! (For most of us.) YAHOO!!!!
In June, we generally did fun stuff. However, my teacher banned stick figures.
On the last day of school (June 21), I was hanging out with 2 of my friends at recess. We got permission to go on the field, so we tried to attract animals with worms. Well, we missed the recess teacher’s whistle, so we were late! One of my friend’s class was just walking to their classroom, so she joined the line. As for my other friend and me, the teacher who just took their classroom inside unlocked the doors, and we went in the classroom. Nobody noticed that we were gone.
A day after school ended, my dad and I went on a vacation. At our destination, I watched my first baseball game in real life. It was a Minor League game.
July 2022
July. We’re halfway there!
In July, I turned 10. For my birthday, I went to an arcade and a bookstore. You can view my post I made about my life before double-digits here.
Other than my birthday, it was pretty boring.
August 2022
In August, I went to my 2nd baseball game while on another vacation. This time, it was Major League (MLB). The vacation was to visit my grandma in Nevada. While in Nevada though, my dad became sick, so we had to go home early.
On August 24, I watched another baseball game, also MLB.
On August 31, I started 5th grade. I got the same teacher again.
September 2022
September 1 and a student already left. Which is actually really sad.
The first month of 5th grade was slow and fast at the same time. You’ve ever felt that feeling before?
Also, we changed seats at the end of the month. Now we were in groups of 4.
October 2022
We’re almost there! Almost!
Unlike 4th grade, we didn’t have assigned seats. We had semi-assigned seats, where you had to sit within your class, but could sit anywhere otherwise.
On Halloween, we got to wear our costume to class. I was a stick figure. My teacher didn’t know what I was until I told her.
November 2022
November! Turkey month!
Well, other than Thanksgiving, November was a pretty normal month. We changed seats again at the end of the month.
December 2022
FINALLY!! WE’RE THERE!!!!!
December was probably the most unusual month.
The person next to me, who we will call test2, was absent. We also had a holiday shoppe. Everyone got a holiday shoppe paper. Normal, right?
Well, me and my best friend decided to vandalize it (Don’t tell my teacher…). Half the class noticed, but not the teacher, who was a substitute. Most people liked it, but not the person sitting in front of me. He was creating unnecessary chaos against me, so I had to do something. So at my house, at the last minute (not really), I cut up the vandalized holiday shoppe and made a new paper with really bad spelling. Reason 3 was in a totally different language (Bosnian)!
Then I took it to school, and pretty much the whole class noticed. Then I had to play a game of real life Among Us, and I was the imposter again.
Also, I started liking test2. While test2 was gone. Seriously. Alright, do I have to say any more? I also stopped liking test1 after I found out that he logged into someone else’s account.
On December 25, I got a lot of stuff. Specifically Titanic stuff.
Today is the last day of this month, and the year. Right now, it’s an ordinary day. The only unordinary thing I’m doing is visiting international Minecraft servers and wishing them a happy new year.
I actually play on 1 international server a lot. It’s called FruitServers. They’re an Aussie server!
2022 is gone now. I loved 2022. It was a great year. But now, it’s gone.
I don’t know why 2022 has to be gone. I loved it. I wish it just kept going on forever. But our 365 days are up.
Mineclub: Mineclub was a great server. Unfortunately, it lost too many players, so now it’s a whitelist on the brink of shutting down, like The Hive Java in April 2021.
KidzTalk: KidzTalk definitely changed from end of 2021 to end of 2022. So many new users joined, like blueZswagger at the beginning of 2022 and Esie in mid-2022. New features are also being added, like the recent KS Username Update category.
KidzNet: In 2022, pretty much everyone who was on the old KidzNet left for good. Nobody really liked it at first. But I’ve come back, so that’s kind of good, eh?
I love you, 2022. You were the best. But now that we’re entering 2023, what will happen now? Will I survive 5th grade, and eventually, middle school? Will another catastrophic event happen in my classroom? Or will something completely different happen? Only time will tell.
