So, I thought: what if Crookshanks is the hero?

So, if Ron had let Crookshanks eat Scabberers,aka Peter Pettigrew, then Sirius, Fred, Tonks, Lupin, and a whole bunch of other people that died because of Voldemort and Death Eaters would be alive. So, Ron might actually be evil, and Crookshanks the hero!!

Good theory, but I don’t think Ron knew that Scabbers was actually Peter Pettigrew.

Well, she's the one that comes up with the ideas. If it weren't for her being able to help Harry, Ron, and Hermione, they wouldn't be able to get past certain scenarios. She was smart and able to cast powerful magic. She provided distractions and everything. If it weren't for her, Harry, Ron, and Hermione probably wouldn't have survived.
