need help coming out

so I'm thinking about coming out to my aunt (she's very religious and a little homophobic)  but I have no idea how to do it.

I can't believe I didn't see this! I would just mention a celebrity that might have just come out or something, and see how she reacts, ask her how she would react if someone in the family came out, etc. Just see how she reacts to these and if alk goes well, maybe start dropping hints.

I’ve been dropping a couple hints over the past few months: For example, I have a beanie with a rainbow heart on it that I’ve worn around her, I have a big flashy rainbow bag that says pride on it. about a month ago She said that if you ever need to talk to me about anything that I will love you and support you no matter what. so I’m pretty sure she already knows it’s just like the official coming out thing that’s scaring me.

Try a note! Maybe you can say, 'hey, can we talk' or just fully on tell her. Sometimes it's better, so if you're nervous about her reaction, you won't have to see it. If she asks questions, you can answer them. I get it, coming kid's hard, even if you know how somebody will react. It can be scary.

Yeah especially in my family. all of my extended family is very religious and homophobic so I’ve only come out to one person in my extended family. it’s scary. But I have a plan, tomorrow evening, she’s going to pick me up and we’re gonna go to dinner on the beach and I’m gonna talk to her. And thank you for all your advice through this.<3
