Back Woods safety advice part 1

Question

I will be going over how to be safe while in the Back Woods.

Being in the woods is an amazing thing. But sometimes it can turn for the worst. That's why I am writing about the 10 essentials for this first part.

The ten essentials include:

1: Pocket Knife

2: Food

3: Water

4: Water filter

5: Fire Starter

6: Rope

7: Rain gear

8: Sun protection (sun screen, brim hat, sun glasses, etc.)

9: Leatherman

10: First Aid Kit. (the most important piece of equipment in your back pack)

EXTRA ESSENTIALS:

11: Map

12: Compass

13: Extra clothes

I agree wi TV h all of the above but I think a map should be an essential tool unless you know exactly where you are/are going with someone who knows exactly where you are
