Personal Computers were the most recent digital devices at the time the internet was gaining public popularity/availability, and there were a number of decades between when the internet became widely available and when other devices like the mobile phone were given the ability to access the web. It's been mainly a timing thing with very normal iterative development.

Well, computers were the first electronic devices, so when Tim something-something invented the World Wide Web, he did it on a computer.

Actually, computers aten’t the first electronic devices. We can trace technology back to the telegram, when it later evolved into a radio.

Beg to differ. I believe in that stuff; Roswell and whatnot. 85% of the time it's Stonehenge, the Egyptians, the Inca, Easter Island, etc. etc. etc. They talk about the same two dozen or so things, and yet that show is like 18 or 19 years old and still going. Plus they've got other shows now. I just don't get how they manage to talk about the same stuff for 18 seasons.
