WHY DORK DIARIES MAKE ME OUTRAGED​

​​​STEREOTYPES

If you have ever read Dork Diaries, you would know that this series is EXTREMELY stereotypical. It basically says that the only think girls do is obsess over boys and worry about being pretty and popular. As a girl who likes musical theatre, dance, drawing cartoons, and writing, this is kinda funny to look at. 

THE WAY IT'S WRITTEN

The book talks about a quirk middle school dork who writes in a diary. BUT THE WAY SHE WRITES IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. All she writes about is "oh, Brandon's so hot" and "UGH *forgot the name of the popular girl who bullies her* IS SO ANNOYING" and then there's her best friends. and she's all like, "OMGOMGOMGOMG" or "LOLOLOLOL" or "NONONONO" like, really?

Thats kinda it, so this is why I regret my phase where I obsessed over Dork Diaries and read the entire series!

thank you for not reading the books, once you start you can't stop until your suddenly thinking it's the best series ever, it's literally made for weird people, if you read it, you will become weird as well.

This platform has convinced me never to even dabble in these kinds of things, I'm glad I never read anything like this (to be fair, though, I've never known a man who has read "dork diaries" either).

I USED TO READ DORK DIARIES ALL THE TIME!!

Were they kind of stupid? Yes

Did I learn anything from it? No

But did I enjoy them? Yes

I had a dork diaries phase too (4th grade), and I dont regret a bit of it, because they made me want to write my own books.

Even if they're kinda dumb, they also inspired me, so I'm glad for that!

I had a dork diaries phase in 3-4 grade, and that's ok bc A LOT of girls loved dork diaries then. BUT ONE OF MY FRIENDS ARE HAVING THEIR DORK DIARIES PHASE NOW-
