Did Sheu Musa Yar' Adua die in prison?

Well I know that he died in prison but am not sure of it.

Yeah, he did. He was sentenced to life (originally death but that was changed) in 1995 because he and other people were accused of planning a coup to overthrow the General Sani Abacha regime. He died in prison on December 8, 1997.
