the next day att skool startd early. when i got too skool i saw this red-haird new kid. who r u i askd him n my slurry voice. he seemed startld att my lisp but answerd. he siad my name is brandon and i told him my name. so ure reily the disabld kid every one tels me too avoid he siad. my anger boild but he seemed srry immediately. srry he siad. its ok i told him. i get it al the time.
we sat toogetherr att lunch a few tables a way from angel. but she swaggerd ovr and talkd too brandon. then she calld her frends ovr and gave me a peice of papr and a pencill. rite angel she siad. i did. rite rules she siad. i did. rite reily siad angel. i did. rite drools siad angel and when i did she flashd the papr att me and laffed. it reed:

i ran home crying. when i got there i tore up too my room. david wasnt there but the kats and dog and ratts were playing on my bed. catnip the kat purrd and they all laid with me on my bed. maybee animuls dont care if ure disabld. maybee they luv u al the same. i hope so.

i calld mrs boston the english teecher.i told her i want too bee normul and that i wantd her too teech me.she siad ok but it can only start next munth. i siad plz now. she agred.
maybee these r the 1st steeps too becoming normul.

mrs boston taught me how to speel spell correctly today. she told me spelling correctly is crucial. i askd asked what's crucial mean. she siad said look it up n in the dictionary. this is what it said.

i nodded and said i understand. then i decided to look up disabled. the dictionary said:

i looked it over again. so im not working correctly? it didnt say anything about me being special...
when i got home i heard mom and dad shouting. she cant do it yelled dad. yes she can mom screeched. now i want to prove to them more than ever that im normul. not their special little snowflake they thought i always was.
