How Do I Tell If I Am In Danger?
If there has been a warning or a watch of a natural disaster (tsunami, hurricane, tornado, etc.) has been issued, you are in danger.
If there are artificial disasters in your area (smog, forest fires, nuclear emissions, etc.), you are in danger.
If a war is happening in your area, you are in danger.
Build a safety pack. It should include:
- Water
- Food
- Radio
- Batteries
- Flashlight
- First aid kit
- Masks
- Fire extinguisher
- Cell phone (if reception does not work, do not use)
- Hazmat suits (if available)
Find A Safe Hiding Place
This could be in the basement or anywhere else normally below ground level.
What To Do If You Are In Danger
Get in the pose and/or wear the protective gear required to keep you safe during the danger.
When Danger Ends
At the stopping point of the danger, return to normal activities.
If recovery is required, help as much as possible.
