So I heard that the Percy Jackson and ATLA fandoms are beefing about whether Percy or Katara would win in a fight so I’m gonna go on a little rant about who would win.
Percy. Here’s why, don’t get me wrong Katara is indeed a very powerful waterbender, but Percy would probably kick her butt, HE DEFEATED ARES THE FREAKING GOD OF WAR IN A FIGHT WHEN HE WAS TWELVE YEARS OLD, and that’s not all, he also CAUSED AN EARTHQUAKE (a small one) BUT INDEED AN EARTHQUAKE, if it was the full moon Katara would be quite powerful but it would still be pretty difficult for her to beat Percy in a fight, she might be able to get the upper hand if she manages to use blood-bending on him but Percy could also technically blood-bend if he wanted to so I don’t really know would win in this factor, (maybe Katara since she’s probably a bit better at it) also both can heal using water,
Although Percy’s healing only works on himself so I guess Katara would win on healing factor. On the other hand Percy has fought giants, gods, and entire armies of monsters (with some help) and Katara has not done any of those things, ALSO if we’re talking about Percy with the curse of Achilles that adds to his durability factor by a HUGE margin, we also have to add in the fact that Percy could probably make a Tsunami if he felt like it or had enough energy to do it, not saying that Katara couldn’t maybe cause a Tsunami if it was the full moon it would probably still just drain her a lot even if it was the full moon,
So I still personally think Percy would win, although we can’t discard the fact that Katara is also very powerful.
