My favorite ship dynamics (and my least favorite)

Rival x Rival (bonus if friends/former friends)

The rivals usually have a lot in common, but they argue a lot.

It’s cute because sometimes they get soft with each other.

The example for this one is Sophie x Troy from Bella and The Bulldogs (possibly canon?) or Courtney x Duncan from Total Drama Island

Protective x shy (Bonus if size difference)

The shy one is usually waaayyyy out of the protective one’s league in terms of looks.

It’s cute because the protective one can be really sweet to the shy one and bring them out of their cocoon.

The example for this one is Rocky x Adrian from Rocky I (canon).

Powerful and tall x powerful and smol (no bonus for this one)

I actually don’t know why I like this.

It’s cute because it seems like such a mismatch but it could be a really good match.

Example: Samus x Little Mac (non-canon) from Metroid and Punch-Out respectively, or Leshawna x Harold from Total Drama Island thru Total Drama World Tour

The absolute jerk somehow gets the love of the king and loving person.

It’s horrible because the kind and loving person deserves someone better.

Obsessive Stalker x shy and sweet

The Obsessive Stalker attempts to gain the love of the shy and sweet by being weird and interfering with said shy and sweet’s love life by driving themselves into everything shy and sweet does.

It’s horrible because the Shy and Sweet person is trying to live a normal life but they have a Stalker ruining it.

Example: Yamai x Komi from Komi Can’t Communicate (not canon)

I swear, Yamai is Kim Jong Un’s kid (not being racist).

Yamai literally held Tadano at KNIFEPOINT just for being friends with Komi, she also literally gives death threats to anyone who even tries to interact with Komi, she barged into Tadano’s house without his permission, wore Komi’s Stockings on her HEAD after Komi had to replace them, and literally kidnapped Tadano for, once again, just being friends with Komi.

If it wasn’t for Yamai, Komi would be able to live a peaceful life. Komi literally would have had less friends if it wasn’t for Yamai threatening to kill everyone that tried to be her friend.

I hate Yamai forever, and I stand by that
