Okay, I have had the modeling and self-improvement training up the ying/yang,. and have read almost all of the "Beauty Books," that have come out since 1957. I was a cheerleader in HS, and worked for a professional model for over 13 yrs, You'll be SHOCKED to hear that FIRST your being liked and having a lot of quality friends (and that should be the ONLY ones you have ) DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MONEY, FASHIONABLE CLOTHES, THE RIGHT MAKE-UP COMBO, YOUR BODY SHAPE, etc ( Sophia Loren among many other celebrities have proved this....she had ONE DRESS and dyed it BLACK to go to her first interviews. She had to BORROW shoes , also. )
If you have a dynamite PERSONALITY; if you are sincerely INTERESTED in EVERYBODY ( including your best friend's 90 yr. old granny) ; if you have gracious manners and are thoughtful to everyone .... other than adding cleanliness and good grooming, YOU'LL HAVE IT MADE ! ! ! And the "clothes thing " will take care of itself ---- watch what certain people in your school are wearing, and if you want, COPY that look. Which you can do by going to the Salvation Army Thrift Shop and so on. (Barbara Streisand did this for years before she became a diva.) BUT always remember : it's NOT about the CLOTHES, which are usually forgotten about, anyway. It's ALL in the FANTASTIC PERSONALITY. Best of luck ! ! ! Catherine
