I found this article about this game that made teenagers commit suicide. Russian media reported 130 teenagers have committed suicide in the past six-month period (this was in 2017). It's called the Blue Whale game, because of the way blue whales sometimes beach themselves and die. So, to play this game, you have to sign up and follow the instructions over a 50-day period. The administrator would then assign a series of tasks, like listening to a particular song to cutting themselves. On the last day, they had to commit suicide. The kids were urged to use a knife or razor blade to cut a shape of a blue whale into their leg or wrist. They were also urged to watch nothing but horror movies all day and wake up at 4:20 am on the lead-up to their 50th day. This just makes me feel empty. It really just makes me wanna die so that I can just get away from what our world has become.
