There are several types of the coronavirus, and COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 is one of them.

CO for Corona, VI for virus, D for disease and 19 for 2019. That is COVID-19.

Covid-19 (the name) was here since forever. Covid 19 stands for CoronaVirusDisease2019. And it’s 2019 because it started in December 2019.

No coronavuris and covid-19 are different names.

COVID-19 and the coronavirus are 2 different things. COVID-19 is the virus people talk about. The coronavirus is a broad term, which includes several viruses, such as the common cold, influenza, and COVID-19.
