Ok, I’ve checked and there’s only one post about the Bible being mistranslated in the last while... it was posted by me. I know this post is aimed at me, it’s my fault. Sorry if it offends you.
I’m not changing the Bible to say what I want it to say, I don’t think anyone should do that, it’s wrong. It will have some differences and mistakes in translation between the original Ancient Hebrew and modern English. Some of the words have multiple meanings or simply don’t exist in English, and it had to be translated through Greek and Latin so there will be misinterpretations and misunderstandings, translators are only human. I could be wrong about the particular mistranslation I posted about, but I only know what I know, and as far as I know I'm right. If I am wrong, quote me a source and I’ll change the post. I’m willing to accept that I’m wrong. I think the Bible is leading us to wisdom rather than answers, so disagreeing with one tiny thing isn’t a big deal... anyway, that’s just my opinion.
Sorry for such a long answer :)
And yes, we do need to stop fighting. Sorry for provoking it.
