I had a BFF, but i found out she's been spreading lies about me and my family for the past three years. We aren't the greatest friends anymore. I started hanging out with this other person and now we are best friends.

Well I feel like that all the time but all you can do and what you could do are two totally different things. One thing you could do is just talk to them about it and say "I really needed you to keep that to your self" and it's hurt that you told everyone and apologize and tell her the truth
