Is Kidztalk better or is Kidznet better?

which is better.

If it were the old version, I would have said KidzNet. But at this moment, honestly, it feels like KidzTalk is far better than KidzNet.

In my opinion, KidzTalk.

KidzTalk is good for question / answer things. It does not have many social features.

KidzNet allows for moderated social network features, like having and following friends. You can ask questions too, but it is designed more for featured articles written by users and KidzSearch staff. It is also more visual with more advanced commenting. When your friends comment or post things, you get updates in your profile and activity section. There is also a wall for general updates and a forum.

KidzTalk has been around much longer with more users (about 10,000). KidzNet is much newer.

Don't merge Kidztalk with kidznet. If you do, merge it in kidztalk's favor and transfer the posts to here. If you move everything to kidznet I would leave.

They won't be merged. Our goal for now is to make KidzNet and KidzTalk different products. KidzNet can be viewed as an online magazine for kids with user generated articles written by kids. KidzTalk is mostly Q&A. However, there is still some overlap. Hopefully, people will want to use both.

Very few people used the original version of KidzNet (maybe 20 people out of 5,000 registered users were regulars, even after promoting it for years.)

There have been many social  networks for kids in the past, but almost all have closed. We thought we could be different. The traditional "facebook style" format for a social network just does not seem to work for kids based on our experience. Hopefully, the new version of KidzNet solves many of the reasons it was not being used much.
