Okay, so, I've been down sick for just over a week now, and it has been getting better. The only symptoms I have are a super-duper snotty-sneezy nose and a dry cough. At this point, it's the occasional sneeze and more of a cough. Thing is, I really want to cheer in tomorrow's game, but that means I would have to COVID test. My cold is certainly not COVID-19, but I'm afraid that the test will register as so. Should I just sit the game out? I wouldn't want other people to get sick either, but still... or take the test and run the risk of a false positive and quarantine? Thanks guys- you all have the best advice.

Also, people here don't always have good advice, just so you know. Someone just said that we can just look up answers to everything on our phones, so...

Also, a little update- I did not take the test. Unfourtunatly, my cold got much worse, and it is getting close to evolving into pnemonia :/ Guess I'll be sitting out this week's game too :(

If you had symptoms and the test comes back positive, forget it. You know, my grandfather said that he just had a cold and stuff. Same symptoms as you. He was risking getting all of us sick when we came to see him when he refused to get tested or tell anyone he was sick. And when his girlfriend took him to the hospital, he tested positive (this was about a month or so ago, mind you). And what did she think? "Well, is it possible that it's a false-positive?" NO! Maybe if you don't have any symptoms, but I am friends with two of my mom's fellow coworkers (who all work at the hospital) and they didn't have symptoms when they had it. If you really want to be absolutely sure, get an antibody test later.

And I, never.

You’re lucky. The one time I had it, I didn’t even know I had it until I took a test 3 days later and it said that I was positive.

That meant I walked around San Francisco while having COVID, and not even realizing it. I also had no symptoms.

Hmm, maybe I just never had the symptoms but had it.
