Two Books Side by Side

There are two books sitting side by side, consisting of exactly 100 pages. The book on the left is upside down. If you add the page number at the extreme left side of the book on the left to the page number at the extreme right side the right hand book, what is the total?

The answer is 200.The extreme left of any book is page one. The extreme right of any book is it's last page (100) The book on the left is upside down. From left to right it reads 100 -> 1 it's left side number is 100. The book on the right has had no change. It reads 1 -> 100. The extreme right of any book is its last page. I almost got it wrong. You have to picture it in your head or draw it.
