I just got another dog, we have had the first for 3 months and then the second is his half brother only a week or two younger. Now they are always fighting for dominence. (My first dog is the hulk of dogs but they are both Australian Sheapards) They are trying to bite eachother. I want them to figure out who the boss is but I don't want them to get hurt. What should I do?

Drippy, what you need to do is separate them. If you want them to get along, read books on the subject, but I recommend not letting them come into contact. When you decide what you want to do, answer back.

My dog has a big lump on her foot, some people say it is cancer, and it is a hard lump thingy. It has been there a long time! Please help me! sad

I think it may be skin squamous cell carcinomas. It is found in older dogs on their lower legs. The tumors are firm and raised. Sometimes they can grow. First answer these questions and I'll confirm my quarry (what I think it is).

1 Has your dog had prolonged sun exposer? Was there discoloring and thickening of the skin before the tumor doveloped?

2. Is your dog older? What breed of dog is she?

Thank you. I will diagnosis your dog's condition as soon as you respond.

I will name what is possibly the type of cancer. I will list f possible cancers your dog might have.

1. Lipomas and Liposarcomas

Lipomas are tumors of fat that appear on older females. Dobermans Pinschers, Labrador Retriever, Miniature Schnauzers,  and mixed breed dogs. They may seem to grow (or stay small).Surgical removable is the cure. Infiltrative lipomas are rare in dogs, but are most common on middle aged females, on their chest or legs. The breeds listed above are victims to this cancer. They can be very soft. Invasive lipomas appear on the legs . The limb affected may have to be amputated.

2. Lymphoid Tumors of the Skin

Canine extramedullary plasmacytomas appears on the ears, lips, mouth or legs on middle aged dogs. They mainly affect Cocker Spaniels, Airedales, Scottish Terriers, and Standard Poodles. The tumors are small (less than 2 inches). Epitheliotropic lymphosarcoma are found in middle aged dogs (Poodles, Cocker Spaniels), and may appear on footpads. No treatment has been found to be very successful.

Yes, this could be cancer. If it is cancer the vet will be able to remove it. But if the cancer cells divide and reproduce, then cimotherapy will be nesscary. Does your dog claw and lick at her lump? Answer and I'll get back to you with more information.

Answer the questions and I will answer as soon as possible. indecision!

She licks it sometimes....

My dog licks her paws becuz it bothers her.

I suggest you take your dog to the vet and let them check it out.. I believe it maybe cancer but if this the early stages the vet may be able to help your dog. Let me know what happens!

But my dog is 12 years old, and she had the lump thing for a very long time!

You better have it removed at once then. (My dog is seven!). Talk to a vet about it. If this thing hasn't faded away, then its possibly cancer. Have a vet look at it.
