hi yall! this post is to help all of you lucky lemons who haven't had their period yet prepare!
1. keep 2 liners (they get wet and gross REAL fast), 1 pad (use a smaller size if possible; TRUST me, you don;t want to have to wrestle with a maxi pad on your first period) and 1 pair of underwear in your backpack at all times. if it happens at school, you will be glad to be prepared.
2. if you are a dancer, invest in either shorts or a bullet pointe skirt to help cover up any leakage. I personally only use pads, which means wearing underwear in my leotard *shudder shudder*, so it is best to make sure nobody sees your underwear. at my studio, only like 5 year olds wear underwear in their leotard, so i don;t want to be the baby, ya know?
3. wear black jeans, or dark colored sweatpants on your period. these make sure that no leakage is shown, since leggings are pretty tight, and obviously white or light colored jeans are off limits.
4. just listen to your body. if your body is telling you to take a shower, its probably best to listen. last month, my body was like "PUT ON A PAD!!!!!" and i was like nope, and a few hours later, i go to the bathroom and BLOOD. so yeah, from personal experience, just listen.
