Are mermaids real and can i turn into one??

Tell me how to become a mermaid and if mermaids are real I think they are real and I can turn into one though too.

Goofy story, but back when I was 4 in Venezuela, My mom said that the fishermen in our beach (we had a 2nd house for the summer, and we lived near a beach) were hunting for mermaids, and there were mermaids.

Our 1st house was mid, and it was tiny because we were poor (we are now working class) and it was ugly, we still call that house "ugly house" (we now live in the US, man I miss my life in Venezuela (The government is horrible)

I use to always dream of being a mermaid but I'm pretty sure they're not real (P.S. I still wish they were real).
