The real story if st. Patrick's day.
Patrick's family was actually Christian and lived in England. Patrick didn't like going to church with his family, so he would play on the beach. One sunday while on the beach, Irish pirates came and kidnapped him. He was a slave in Ireland for 6 years. While he was there he became a Christian. He eventually escaped after 6years and went back to his family. A while after he had returned home, he had a dream that he was being called back to Ireland as a missionary. He went to Ireland, and because of him, Ireland became a Christian country! The reason the Shamrock is so big for st Patrick's day was because he would use that as a symbol as the Trinity. God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit. He died On March 17 461 AD. Now st Patrick's day is remembered on that day!
