Is it actually jammed?

i was playing basketball, and i jammed my middle and ring finger on my left hand. it hurts and feels like my ring finger will just snap right off when i bend it inward. help me!!!! also it just won't straighten. that's my original question. figured out it is swollen. did it really happen because of a jam? any tips for healing a swollen finger because I've never had this before!!!!

That has happened to me before kinda. I was also playing basketball and this guy in my class tryed to shoot a hoop-and succeeded but then it went bouncing towards me. I put my hands out and BAM!
