The thing I really want for my birthday is a phone and my mom and dad say no. How do I convince them?

Why does everyone want a phone? People have tried getting me one before but I really don't want a phone. Unfortunately it's also required for a lot of stuff I try to do for 2-factor verification and whatnot.

I know 1 year-olds don’t need a phone. I used to be 1 and I never had a phone.
