Question

Alright. My day. . .I MADE A CHEESE GRATER IDK WHY I'M SO EXCITED BUT CHEESE.

Hello. I have a blog now. The. . .the name tells you everything.

I'll be inactive 9-3 EST for camp this week, which is where I made the cheese grater.

For people who don't know, I prefer xe/xem/xyr and ae/aer/aers pronouns, but I also use she/her/hers pronouns. I just want the people who don't really know that to know. I think I'll do my 'judging Wikipedia's LGBTQ+ articles' in here as well, because it's just a fun thing to do. I won't do ones that have good articles (I don't think there will be ones I miss, unless Wikipedia doesn't have them, then I might just judge a different article for both of those scenarios, if I can find one that isn't accurate and is long enough.)

For the cheese grater? I drew the wooden shape, and then I made the angled cuts and relief cuts, and then cut those off, and did the same on the other side! I rounded out the handle and smoothed the sides I had made the relief cuts on with a rasp. I sanded it down with sanding paper wrapped around a piece of wood. For the grater part, I positioned a screwdriver wherever I wanted the holes and hammered the top until it touched the wood block we had underneath. Then I wrapped it around a wooden mallet so it could be the right shape, and nailed each of the sides of that (without the holes) to the other part. I brought it home, but I think I still need to do a bit of sanding and round the handle out a bit more.
