Uh, I really hate to say this, but isn't it a bit culturally inappropriate, rude, and purely racist to pretend you are Chinese? Being fascinated with a country's culture is one thing but pretending you are part of that culture is VERY different. You cant change your heritage and nationality. Now, I'm not Chinese and I don't have any friends who are but it just seems a bit disrespectful.

Anyway it's a little odd to try to be another ethnicity but hey; if a girl can pretend to be a dude (no offense mate) and society has to be cool with that then I don't really see the difference.

It is a bit odd, I agree, however transgenderism is different. (Also no offense taken :)

Gender and race have no similarities. Gender can be changed, because trans people feel that they were born in the wrong body at birth. People that change their race are downright racist. You can't change where you were born and your heritage.

I feel like discriminating someone because of their race is racist. Now, pretending to be a race because you're making fun of them is ALSO racist, but pretending to be that because you look up to that race isn't necessarily racist...

It's just ignorant.
