I think society has been getting better at being LGBTQ+ accepting and inclusive.
At my old school, they had pad and tampon machines in girls in boys bathrooms. They had a private program where you could meet with the counselor about the LGBTQIA community when you’re questioning yourself or need help coming out.
I have seen a lot of all-gender restrooms, and yesterday I went to a pretty modern restaurant that labeled their bathrooms “She/they” and “He/they.” Pretty inclusive. But I’m neither a she/they or a he/they (lol I’m joking I know their intentions.)
I was afraid that when I moved people would be homophobic but now I know which household supports or not, cause out here some people are PATRIOTIC. Some person we drove past a few days ago had a massive giraffe statue thing in their front yard with a big pride flag draped over it (and someone else has a gorilla that they dress up for different occasions but thats not important rn haha.) Right near my grandparents house someone has an “american pride flag” where like the stripes are the rainbow. And theres a few more. Makes me happy.
OH ALSO YESTERDAY SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET HAD THE MOST RANDOM PRIDE PARTY GOING ON AND I MET SOMEONE ELSE ABROSEXUAL THERE. NOT IMPORTANT BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY IN A LOOOONG TIME.
